Revive Hair Extensions In 3 Easy Steps

Are you guilty of not properly caring for your hair extensions? Don’t worry, our three easy steps make it easy to revive hair extensions!

Revive Hair Extensions In 3 Easy Steps:

You will need the following:

ONE // APPLY REVIVE ME HAIR EXTENSION TREATMENT TO HAIR EXTENSIONS

Spray a small amount of Revive Me Hair Extension Treatment into the palm of your hands and gently rub together. Piece by piece run your hands over the extensions to apply evenly. Repeat process to all pieces and set aside.

TWO // DETANGLE AND BRUSH THROUGH HAIR EXTENSIONS

Using your Tangle Teaser, gently brush through hair extensions – make sure to work from bottom to top so that you will avoid any breakage and major shedding, this makes removing knots and tangles much easier. Once you’re done leave your hair extensions to air dry.

THREE // STRAIGHTEN AND BRUSH THROUGH HAIR EXTENSIONS WITH LOOP BRUSH

Making sure your hair extensions are completely dry, use a hair extension friendly hair straightener on a medium to low setting, slowly and gently straighten whilst brushing through the hair with your loop brush. Repeat this process on all of pieces until you are done.

It’s late at night and you are looking at your hair up close in the mirror. When you notice 1, 2, 7, 10 grey hairs growing on your own head. Read on as we discuss Grey Hair Causes Explained.

Grey Hair Causes Explained

Grey Hair Causes Explained

Ladies, we know how it feels when you discover your first grey hair. For some its confusing, and  others upsetting. However going grey is an empowering thing. Read on as we discuss Grey Hair Causes Explained.

Grey Hair Causes Explained

Diets low in protein such as Keratin are suspected to be a cause of pre-mature greying. Foods high in Keratin include:

  • Whey Protein
  • Red Meat
  • Blue Berries
  • Almonds
  • Beer
  • Oysters
  • Milk
  • Eggs
  • Salmon
  • Brazil Nuts

Be sure to include these items in your diet to help delay the process of grey hairs spreading.

Grey Hair Causes Explained

How you spend your days may determine the rate at which you develop grey hair. You could be at the gym 8 days a week and eat a strict healthy diet and go grey earlier than the person who smokes cigarettes and drinks most days. However it’s likely that your lifestyle, if you smoke, drink, and eat foods high in sugar and salt may affect the rate at which your grey hairs develop.

Grey Hair Causes Explained

Unfortunately, the age and rate that you go grey is pre-determined by your genetics. When you go grey will likely be similar to when your parents started to develop grey hairs (If they ever did!).

HOWEVER WE ARE HERE TO HELP! If you are not liking this change, you can change your hair! Check out our hair extensions levels chart to match your desired shade to a set of our hair extensions here:

ZALA Hair Extensions are 100% Human Remy hair and can be safely toned to remove any unwanted yellow or warm tones. This video shows how easy it is to tone your hair extensions using a purple shampoo.

ZALA Hair Extension Toning Guide

When toning tape extensions, it’s important to leave approximately a 1cm gap between the tape tabs and the hair you are applying the product to. This will ensure the adhesive is not disrupted or affected for application.

What you’ll need:

How To:

  1. Fill your sink with warm water
  2. Making sure the tape tabs remain completely dry, submerge each piece in the water so that the hair is damn prior to toning. This helps to ensure the toner achieves an even coverage and seamless results.
  3. Add a squeeze of toning shampoo into the water and swish around until completely dissolved.
  4. When toning hair extensions, always test your product on one single piece first to ensure it gives the results you desire.
  5. Dip each piece into the water and gently massage the shampoo evenly throughout the hair.
  6. Work quickly to avoid overturning the hair!
  7. Once toned, set pieces aside and leave for 3-5 minutes.
  8. Empty the since and rinse the hair thoroughly, starting with the piece that was toned first.
  9. Apply a ZALA’s Smooth Talker Conditioner throughout each piece and leave on for 5-10 minutes to deeply condition the hair before rinsing out thoroughly.
  10. Apply a small amount of ZALA’s Revive Me Treatment on your extensions whilst wet for extra hydration, nourishment and added shine.
  11. Once your extensions are completely dry, brush through each piece gently and straighten to finish!
