We have found some of our favourite celeb hair styles and recreated them so you can too!

Kylie Jenner turned 21! Just as you’d expect, her b’day bash was extra AF!! …but we weren’t invited

After seeing the pics of her party and some serious FOMO, we just HAD to recreate her birthday look with her iconic long ponytail!

What you’ll need:

  1. Create a deep side parting an smooth over your hair with a brush and hairspray.
  2. Bring all your hair back and tie into a sleek low pony.
  3. Hook your ponytail extensions into the base of your pony, wrap and secure into place with bobby pins.

Gigi Hadid’s Victoria’s Secret Waves

Gigi Hadid’s gorgeous and effortless Victoria’s Secret waves have turned heads, ours included. This is the perfect glamorous model-off-duty look and we wanted to try it too!

What you’ll need:

  1. Section off your hair at the crown area.
  2. Apply the ZALA Halo overtop then let your hair out over the top.
  3. Use a tail-comb or brush to smooth and blend seamlessly.

Tammy Hembrow’s Cosmo Cover Party Look

This sleek and slicked back look was worn by Tammy to Cosmopolitan cover party! It is super easy to recreate yet so stunning!

What you’ll need:

  1. Section off your hair at the crown area.

Sleek Half-up-half-down Look

This Ariana Grande inspired look is perfect for Splendour in the Grass this year! It is super practical but still adds drama and life to any outfit. To achieve it, follow the steps below:

  1. Create two small Dutch braids on either side of your head
  2. Apply hair extensions for added length and volume
  3. Using a straightener, add some loose waves
  4. Finish the look by applying hair rings to each braid

Double Dutch Braids

This classic look is a festival essential, especially on those last few days when your hair may be feeling a little lacklustre. This style allows for serious dancing on the DF and will stay place all day and all night. To achieve the look, follow these steps:

  1. Start by creating a clean middle part all the way to the nape of the neck. Section off one side to prepare for your hair extensions.
  2. The most important step when using hair extensions for double dutch braids is where you clip them in! And it’s super simple! Just turn them around and clip them in vertically ? This works best with using your 2 & 3 clip pieces. To ensure the pieces are undetectable once applied, section off the hair diagonally in line with where your braid will be and repeat on the other side. We recommend using at least 2 pieces per side for the best results!

Side Swept Braid

We love this easy to achieve and gorgeous, side swept braid that is perfect for any festival. It is perfect for dancing and will keep you cool on those warmer days. Follow the steps bellow to achieve this look:

  1. For a longer, thicker braid, apply a few wefts on the side you want your braid
  2. Flip your hair to once side, take a small section from the front and split into three
  3. Create a Dutch braid by adding in more hair from either side as you go, crossing each part under and over into the middle
  4. Once you get to the nape area, secure your hair into a low side ponytail (TIP: use a 1 clip piece hair extension to disguise your hair elastic)
  5. Continue with a regular braid and secure with a hair elastic then use you fingers to gently loosen the braid

Drinks with Friends

So you’re a little tired after a big week of work or study but still ready to share a couple of cocktails and laughs with the girls. It will probably be an early night so you want to get your hair done quick so you can spend more time enjoying yourself with your favourite friends. For nights like these, we love this half up fishtail braid!

To achieve this look follow the steps below:

  1. Take two even sections from the front of your hair to twist back and tie together.
  2. Thread this section over and through to create a twisted effect. Add hair from underneath and split into two sections to start your fishtail braid.
  3. Take small pieces from either side and wrap over to the middle.
  4. Repeat this process a third of the way down the hair and secure with an elastic.
  5. Gently pull sections of the braid to loosen and add volume.
  6. Repeat this process another third of the way down the hair.
  7. Optional: Finish the look by adding metal hair rings to conceal the elastics.

Hitting the Club

If you have a dance fueled Saturday night planned, you need a fun hairstyle to match! We love this braided ponytail look for nights out dancing as it is super cute and will stay in place all night. This is definitely one of our favourite Saturday night hairstyles.

To achieve this look follow the steps below:

  1. Brush through your hair to ensure it’s tangle free and then create a clean centre parting.
  2. Section 2 inches on one side of your part and then take another small section from the front. Split this into three parts.
  3. Next, it’s time to start braiding. For this look, you’re going to want to do a french braid. The key to this technique is to pick up more hair from each side as you cross the outer sections over and into the middle.
  4. Repeat this all the way back until you reach the crown of your head, then continue on with a regular braid and secure in place with an elastic.
  5. Then, repeat steps 3 and 4, three more times, until you have 2 braids either side of your part.
  6. Gather all your hair into a ponytail and secure in place with an elastic (this can be a low, high or medium ponytail).
  7. Now for our favourite part – applying your ponytail extensions! This completely transforms your hair and brings the whole look together. Simply slide the clip into the base of your ponytail, wrap the small section around and pin in place.
  8. Finish the look with some boho curls and your hair is complete for a night on the town!

Relaxing Dinner

Maybe you’re ready to relax this weekend and would rather keep in simple with a nice Saturday night dinner. For nights like these, we love this romantic half up twist look that is simple and easy to achieve.

  1. Apply your ZALA hair extensions for instant length, volume and thickness.
  2. Once the extensions have been applied use a medium sized curling want to add loose curls.
  3. At the crown area, take a medium sized section of hair from one side, twist back and pin into place. Repeat this on the other side, twisting back and pinning into place over the first piece.
  4. Repeat this process by taking more pieces from either side, twisting and altering on top. Continue until you’re happy with the results.

This low sleek ponytail is the one of our favourite date night hairstyles. This simple look goes with any outfit and is quick and easy to achieve, perfect for any last minute plans or girls on the go. To achieve this look, you can get a ZALA ponytail extension here.

  1. Start with straight hair, create a middle parting then secure your hair back into a low pony. For extra smooth results, split your hair into 3 equal parts to create your pony in sections.
  2. Use hairspray while brushing over to smooth down any flyaways.
  3. Apply your ZALA ponytail extension for length a volume. Hook into the base of your pony, wrap around and bobby pin into place.

 

Try a romantic up do…

This soft and elegant undo is perfect for a date night. Incorporating curls into an up do gives your hair amazing volume and will have you looking date worthy in no time!

  1. Curl your ZALA extensions and your own natural hair before applying the extensions.
  2. Section off your hair into four parts with two at the front and one upper and one lower at the back of your hair.
  3. Take half of the bottom section and secure it into a low side ponytail.
  4. Wrap the rest of this section half way around your ponytail and pin in place.
  5. taking small pieces at a time, continue wrapping and twisting the hair around your pony. The key to this look is texture and layers so make sure you alternate direction each time.
  6. For the longer laters, plait the hair in a regular three strand braid, then take hold of one strange of your braid and push the rest of the hair up and pin in place.
  7. Continue Layering until all hair is pinned in place.

 

Half up twist…
