Answer:

Absolutely! This all depends on application, so going to a hairdresser with experience in tape hair extensions is vital. Make sure you let them know you intend to wear your hair in a high ponytail and they should be able to work with that!

“I’m going on holidays with my tape ins what should I take with me to keep them in great condition?”

Answer:

Lucky you! Protect your ZALAs like they are your baby! Wear a hat when possible and always rinse the salt water out of your hair as soon as you get out.

Bringing along a leave in conditioner to the beach will be a lifesaver for them!

“What is the best way to make sure my tape ins do not dry out?”

Answer:

To make sure your ZALA tapes stay nice and healthy:

Use hair masks regularly and ZALA Revive Me after EVERY wash
Braid your hair while you sleep and use a ZALA silk pillowcase to reduce knotting
Limit your washing and use dry shampoo!

If your hair is naturally quite thick, stay away from cheap brands! All ZALAs are thick to the very ends but our QUADWEFT extensions are the ultimate in thickness. Alternatively, 80 pieces of tape extensions would give you what you need!

“Is coconut oil good for tape extensions?”

Answer:

Coconut oil, or any other hair oil is great for tape in extensions however just make sure you stay very clear of the tape bonds and roots of your hair as this will cause slipping. We also stock Revive Me which is a great everyday treatment oil!

“How do I blend my 20 inch hair extensions with my short hair? Love your extensions by the way, best I’ve ever had “

Answer:

Thank you for the love! It can be tricky to blend hair extensions with short hair however it can be done!

Making sure you layer and shape your extensions will give them more dimension. Also, adding curls or waves will distract from any harsh lines. Alternatively, going with a slightly shorter length can be much easier.

Gigi Hadid

Gigi kept things simple with her hair this year and we loved it! She rocked a simply voluminous waved look with cute gold hair pins and was definitely sporting one of the best Met Gala hairstyles of the night. To achieve this look, follow the steps below:

Using your straightener on a low heat mode, apply very loose waves to your hair extensions as well as your own hair, focusing on the ends. Once curled, allow to cool and brush out the curls to create a softer look. For a look just like Gigi’s try our 16 inch – Honey Blonde #18 – 9 piece clip ins.
Apply your extensions, ensuring you keep a straight middle part.
Brush through your hair and the extensions to ensure seamless blending.
Take two gold bobby pins and pin either side of your hair down about one inch above your ears.

Taylor Hill

Model Taylor Hill was rocking a slick ponytail and fierce smokey eye for this year’s gala. To achieve this look, a ZALA 22inch human hair ponytail is absolute must!

To start, sleek your hair back into a high ponytail making sure to remove any lumps or loose hairs. Optional: Use hairspray and a small amount of gel to keep this look in place and your hair looking sleek.

Sza looked angelic at this year’s Met Gala with gorgeous curls and an amazing halo like headpiece. There is no doubt, this was one of the best Met Gala hairstyles of the year. Follow the steps below to get Sza’s amazing look:

Curl your own hair and your hair extensions using the ZALA Cosmo Curling Wand. We would recommend using a smaller barrel to achieve slightly smaller, tighter curls. If your hair is very curled once done, don’t worry to much as these curls will drop with time! For this look, we would recommend using our 20inch – Quad Wefted clip in set. For a look just like Sza’s try our Jet Black #1 colour.
Once curled, run your fingers through your hair as well as the extensions very gently to break up some of the curls.
Apply your hair extensions ensuring they are completely blended.
Once your hair extensions are applied, you can take a section of your hair from just above your ears and pull it back, securing it with a hair tie or pins for a gorgeous half up, half down look.
Then take a small section of hair from just behind your ear and plait it to create a small tight braid. Repeat this on the other side of your head as well.
While you may not have the wild head piece Sza was sporting, try a cute gold head band to complete this angelic look.

1. Dry Shampoo

Dry shampoo will be your best friend at any festival and is the holy grail of festival hair products. Let’s face it, when your busting a move on the dance floor or soaking up the summer sun your hair may get a little greasier than normal. Dry shampoo is the quickest and easiest way to fight greasy hair and get fresh feeling locks. An added bonus, dry shampoo adds amazing volume to your hair!

2. Pre-curl your Extensions

You may not have access to power points or have much time to curl your extensions at the festival. That’s why we always recommend pre-curling your extensions to save you time and effort when you could be off dancing! To make sure the curls set we would recommend pinning them while they are hot and leaving the pins in when you transport them. This will make sure the curls don’t drop before you style your hair.
