Best Oils for Healthy Hair

Natural oils are the best remedy for a huge number of hair related issues. Whether you are suffering from dry and frizzy locks, weakened hair, looking to speed up hair growth or soothe a dry and itchy scalp, read on as we explore the Best Oils for Healthy Hair.

Argan Oil

Pure argan oil is an incredible way to get dry hair healthy again. Argan oil comes from extracts of the argan tree, therefore making it 100% natural, safe and chemical-free! This oil is perfect for anyone with dry or frizzy hair looking to add back moisture quickly and easily. Simply add a few drops to dry hair for smoother, softer, and shinier hair.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is known as the holy grail of natural oils. It is great for all hair types or anyone who is looking to add shine and get their hair soft and healthy. For the best results, we recommend coating your hair in it, concentrating the product at the ends and leaving it in your hair overnight. When you wash your hair in the morning, it will feel softer and healthy than ever! (be sure to protect your pillowcase with a towel, or wear a shower cap overnight)

Almond Oil

Almond oil is another fantastic natural oil that will help improve the condition of your hair. It contains Omega-3 fatty acids and Vitamin E which nourishes and strengthens your hair, but can sooth an itchy scalp and dandruff. For the best results, heat up a small amount in the microwave (be careful not to make it too hot!) and apply it to the hair. The heat will open up your hair cuticle and allow for enhanced moisturising. You can rub the oil into your scalp and use a brush to allow the product to be evenly dispersed along the length of your hair. We would recommend leaving this over night and washing it out in the morning for soft and healthy hair.

Castor Oil

Castor oil has amazing hair growth promoting properties. Like many other oils, its best results come from applying it to hair overnight and washing it out in the morning. If you want long and healthy hair, castor oil masks are the best solution for you!

Marula Oil

Marula oil is loaded with Vitamin C, therefore can help protect hair from any damaging UV rays or heat from styling tools. This miracle oil will not only get your hair healthy again and allow for the softest locks, but has a beautiful floral scent. If you’re not a fan of the smell of other natural oils such as coconut oil or almond oil, marula oil is a perfect alternative.

Of course, this blog is not complete without featuring our favourite signature look of Body Waves. Big, voluminous body waves are a great way to spice up simpler high necklines. Whether you’re sporting a simple high neck t-shirt or classic black turtle neck, ZALA hair extensions will add beautiful volume and give you the bounciest curls. To Achieve voluminous body waves, follow the tutorial below:

What you need:

ZALA Clip In Extensions or Tape Extensions
ZALA Cosmo Curling Wand
Sectioning Clips
Heat Protectant Spray
Tangle Teaser
Hair Spray

How-to:

Brush through your hair using the ZALA tangle teaser to remove any knots or tangles.
Apply your clip-in extensions (otherwise if you have tapes, brush through your tape extensions).
Spray your hair and extensions with the heat protectant to prevent any damage.
Take the bottom third of your hair and section the rest up using the sectioning clips.
Using the Cosmo Curling Wand, curl 1 inch sections of hair and repeat for each layer (your hair should be sectioned into thirds).
Once your whole head is completely curled, lightly run through the hair with your fingers and spray lightly with hair spray.
Voila! There you have your perfect body waves using ZALA Hair Extensions.
