Who doesn’t love a trip the beach or lazy days by the pool in summer? Well your hair may not love these activities as much as you… In fact, excessive exposure to salt or chlorinated water can actually remove moisture from your hair and cause damage to the hair follicle over time. It is for this reason we don’t recommend swimming TOO often, or if you do, try keep you hair up and out of the water. But for those steamy days where you just need to take a plunge, always remember to rinse your hair in fresh water after swimming. This will help remove excess salt or chlorine and prevent damage to the hair follicle!

Using a hair serum or deep conditioner is more important than ever in summer! ZALA’s Revive Me hair treatment is the perfect way to add back moisture to your hair if it is feeling dry, frizzy or tangled after a hot summer. This serum has been specially formulated to benefit hair extensions and your natural hair to allow moisture back into the follicle for silky, shiny hair in no time!

How to: Beachy, Heatless Waves

beachy heatless waves

Want to give your hair chic beachy waves without damaging it with heat? Read on as we show you how you can achieve beachy heatless waves.

Beachy Heatless Waves

Method:

You can achieve beachy heatless waves with ease following these simple steps:

#1: Dampen your hair with water, ensuring all hair is evenly covered.

#2: Split your hair into two sections & create a regular braid on either side. Make sure to pull the hair as tight as possible whilst braiding for the best results.

#3: Once both sides are braided, give your hair another quick mist with water to reinforce the curls.

#4: Wait up to 30 minutes for your hair to dry. Once completely dry, take out the braids and gently loosen the curls with your fingers.

#5 Pro Tip: If you are wearing ZALA Tape In Extensions, dampen your hair with water and braid tightly before sleeping for ultimate hold throughout the following day. Don’t forget to keep your hair frizz free with our 100% Mulberry Silk Pillowcase available here.

Voila! You now have beachy heatless waves!
