Silk Pillowcase Benefits:

The soft nature of Silk is a great for preventing frizz. As the fabric is smoother than most common fabrics used for pillow cases, less friction is caused throughout your sleep meaning that your hair will be smoother in the morning.

Silk Pillowcase Benefits

Similar to the way a silk pillowcase benefits hair by preventing frizz, the soft nature of the fabric means that there is less tension on your face throughout the night. This may help delay skin ageing.

Silk Pillowcase Benefits

If you are wearing semi permanent extensions, such as Tape In extensions, it is important to care for them throughout the night to prolong their life. A Silk Pillowcase is the perfect solution to this.

Demi Lovato looked incredible sporting her lush, long locks at the AMAs. To achieve this dramatic hair look, ZALA hair extensions are a must! We would recommend our 26 inch extensions in Jet Black #1. To perfectly recreate this look, create a very straight middle part and loosely curl your own hair and the extensions. You can then brush out these curls to create a very subtle waves like Demi’s.

We also love our Revive Me Treatment which can be used to get super soft and shiny locks like hers! This will add shine to your hair and extensions and get you looking red carpet ready.

Selena Gomez

Queen Selena shocked us with the unveiling of her amazing new blonde locks. We absolutely loved her ashy blonde textured waves, complete with plenty of volume. To get this look, try our 12 inch extensions in Beachy Blonde #613. These extensions are perfect for adding volume like Selena’s and will assist in creating those gorgeous voluminous waves she was rocking on the red carpet. To finish the look off, side part your hair and add dry shampoo for even more lift at the roots!

Lea Michele

American Music Awards Hairstyles

Glee star, Lea Michele looked beautiful with her sleek and straight balayage locks. To achieve this look (even if you don’t have balayaged hair!) we recommend our Chocolate Swirl #2/6 shade from our balayage range. This colour is a gorgeous mixture of our Dark Chocolate Brown #2 shade and our Chestnut Brown #6 shade and creates the perfect brunette ombre look. To rock these extensions like Lea, middle part your hair and simply wear them sleek and straight.

Hair Extension Sins

If you want to keep your extensions feeling soft and healthy for as long as possible, you must be sure to avoid these deadly hair extension sins. ZALA brings you the worst hair sins to avoid if you want to keep your locks silky smooth.

Hair Extension Sins

hair extension sins

hair extension sinsWhile it is important to wash your extensions now and then to remove any product build up, they should not be washed too often. For tape extensions, we recommend washing 1-2 times a week and for clip ins, we would recommend washing every 1-2 months depending on wear. Over washing can cause the hair to become dry and brittle and cause damage to the hair. As well as this, it is important to use sulphate free shampoo and conditioner. Sulphates will damage the hair’s follicle over time and as your extensions do not receive the same nourishment as your normal hair, this will cause dryness and damage the hair.

hair extension sins

Like most human hair extensions, ZALA Hair can not be bleached or lightened. Our hair goes through a long dying process to achieve our gorgeous shades, therefore we never recommend bleaching or lightening your extensions as this may cause damage to the hair.

hair extension sins

Like your own hair, excessive heat can cause damage to your hair follicles over time and we therefore ALWAYS recommend using a protectant to avoid any damage. This will ensure the extensions are protected from high temperatures when styling and will ensure your extensions stay as healthy as possible, for as long as possible!

hair extension sins

It is important to brush your extensions from the bottom and move upwards in small sections. This will ensure there is no tugging or ripping on the hair and will avoid excessive shedding caused by rough brushing. Brushing from root to tip should always be avoided!
